Golden Gardens this past Friday was the site of a goodbye party for Kristi Dahlstrom, who is spending the next two years of her life teaching in Germany. As if to give a head nod to the sun, which seems to be setting so rapidly on our youth, she and I went swinging near the zoo tonight. Ms. Dahlstrom you are already sorely missed.

Friday night sleepovers with the Browns is basically the reason I get up in the morning. Here we are in the Aveo, heading to help Carey's mom move her embroidery shop. Of course, by "help," I mean go searching for boxes at the Cascade Mall, maybe throwing in a stop at Orange Julius on the way, and returning approximately one hour later to see that the move is mostly finished...
